APMA Collaborates with MyMipsScore to Help Podiatrists Succeed Under MIPS

Customized MIPS solution will help podiatrists understand and maximize their MIPS score and MIPS payment adjustment.

CHESTERFIELD, MO. (PRWEB) JUNE 12, 2018

MyMipsScore™ announced a new strategic collaboration with the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) to help podiatrists excel under value-based reimbursement models. As part of the strategic collaboration, MyMipsScore will develop a customized app exclusively for APMA members.

MyMipsScore offers solutions to help health-care providers understand, calculate, analyze, and maximize their Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) scores. MyMipsScore’s unique MIPS Score Simulator allows health-care organizations to simulate improvement scenarios for the Quality performance category and analyze the financial impact of a change in performance in real time. MyMipsScore also allows analysis of Promoting Interoperability (previously known as Advancing Care Information) and Improvement Activities performance scores to calculate the Composite Performance Score (CPS) commonly known as a MIPS Score. MyMipsScore’s MIPS Calculator helps providers estimate the financial impact of MIPS based on their own historical Medicare reimbursement data, which is publicly available. Providers can manually adjust this data to get more realistic payment adjustment estimates. Providers can analyze their MIPS score as well as payment adjustment at the individual and the group level. Through this strategic collaboration, APMA members will gain access to the MIPS Calculator and MyMipsScore’s other analytical tools customized for podiatrists. Providers will also be able to check their MIPS eligibility status from within the app.

“We found that there is a lot of misinformation about MIPS,” said James R. Christina, DPM, Executive Director and CEO of APMA. “Many providers do not completely understand the financial and reputational impact of MIPS. The MIPS Calculator and the robust MIPS analytics offered by MyMipsScore will help our members understand the implications of MIPS and make informed decisions,” Dr. Christina said.

MyMipsScore supports multiple data integration methods including QRDA, C-CDA, Electronic Claims, as well as FHIR®-based APIs. As part of this collaboration, MyMipsScore will work with the EHR vendors to provide seamless integration and eliminate the data entry burden for providers, meaning APMA members who have signed up to use the APMA Registry will be able to submit data to CMS through the registry regardless of their EHR provider. MyMipsScore™ also provides 2015 certified EHR technology that EHR vendors may inherit for their 2015 EHR certification.

“There is a lot of confusion about data collection and analysis, the submission process, and the audit requirements for MIPS. By collaborating with APMA, we will be able to provide a complete MIPS solution to all APMA members irrespective of the EHR they are using,” said Pawan Jindal, MD, Founder of MyMipsScore. “This solution will also ensure that providers can qualify for the end-to-end reporting bonus to maximize their MIPS score.”

The customized MyMipsScore app will be available to all APMA members in July. More details about the program and registration links will be available soon on the APMA website.
